Pavilion Prep

About Pavilion Preparatory Kindergarten

Our Pavilion Preparatory Kindergarten (PPS) offers the care and education of children aged between birth and 5 years, from 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year (excluding statutory holidays).

Our last Ofsted report reflects the dedication and commitment of staff and acknowledges the exciting curriculum and learning opportunities that the children experience.  A summary of key findings from our last report are as follows:

  • The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.
  • There is an open and positive culture around safeguarding that puts children’s interests first.
  • All staff are attentive and are good role models. They have high expectations. Children understand these expectations and demonstrate excellent manners and behaviour.
  • Staff encourage children to develop their social skills. For example, they demonstrate how to take turns.
  • Staff praise children when they are kind and considerate to others. They involve older children in day-to-day jobs, such as clearing away and setting up for mealtimes. This helps children to feel confident and develops their self-esteem.
  • Staff sequence the curriculum to build on what children already know.
  • All staff establish secure and trusting relationships with children
  • Staff support children’s communication and language development well
  • Older children enjoy a range of opportunities to use their imagination and creativity
  • Staff support children to learn about the wider world and communities beyond their own.
  • They ensure that the setting is inclusive and diverse.
  • Staff explore different cultures with children and teach them about a range of religious celebrations
  • Children arrive to a warm welcome from kind and nurturing staff.
  • They show they feel safe and secure as they explore the well-resourced environment.
  • When children need reassurance, staff respond quickly.
  • They provide cuddles and kind words, which helps to build on children’s sense of belonging.

We are proud of our dedicated and committed team who are determined to ensure every child succeeds to their full potential.  We offer our deepest gratitude to our parents/carers for their overwhelming support and enthusiasm for their children at PPS.  Their involvement and passion for their children’s growth and happiness is truly inspiring and the sense of community and mutual support we share is a testament to the incredible group of parents we have.
